Module 3 — SASB Standards Deep Dive

  • Origins and philosophy of SASB: industry-specific, investor-focused
  • Understanding SASB’s sector and industry classification
  • Working with SASB metrics: E, S and G across selected industries
  • Case study: applying SASB to a sample company and mapping metrics to data sources

Module 4 — GRI Standards Deep Dive

  • GRI structure: Universal, Sector and Topic Standards (overview)
  • GRI principles: accuracy, balance, comparability, etc.
  • Mapping material topics to GRI disclosures
  • Case study: building a GRI content index and cross-referencing disclosures

Module 5 — IFRS Sustainability / ISSB (e.g., IFRS S1 & S2)

  • Overview of IFRS Sustainability / ISSB approach and objectives
  • General sustainability-related disclosures (e.g., governance, strategy, risk, metrics & targets)
  • Climate-related disclosures and linkage to TCFD-style structure

  • Core exam domains, weightages and common question patterns
  • Study plan, summary notes and memory aids across SASB, GRI, IFRS Sustainability
  • Question practice and mock test with debrief

Capstone — ESG Reporting Pack for a Sample Company

In the capstone project, you will work in small groups (or individually) to design a mini ESG reporting pack:

  • Select a sector and company profile (provided cases or your organisation)
  • Identify material topics and map them to SASB, GRI and IFRS Sustainability disclosures
  • Design a metrics and disclosures table with data sources and owners
  • Draft selected narrative sections and a “board-level” summary slide
  • Present to a panel for feedback on clarity, completeness and practicality
